World Mental Health Day was observed by the Department of Community Medicine, JSS Medical College, JSS AHER, at JSS UHC on 10 October 2025. Dr. H. V. Rama (LMO, JSS UHC) spoke on the theme “Access to services – Mental Health in catastrophes and emergencies.” She offered tips to maintain both physical and mental health, emphasized the early identification of mental illness, and urged people to seek medical help at the earliest. Earlier, Sri Mallikarjun, MSW, gave a PowerPoint presentation on the causes, symptoms, and prevention of mental illness. Twenty women attended the program and actively participated in the interactive session after the talks. Sri Sunil, JHI, served as the compere. Sri Santhosh, JHI, was present.
