The Department of Anatomy conducted the Cadaveric Oath-Taking Ceremony for the I Year MBBS 2025–26 batch on 13th October 2025, organized in two sessions. The program commenced with the blessings of His Holiness Mahaswamiji and was graced by the presence of Mr. Jayachandra, Senior Trainer, BEML Limited; Dr. Narayanappa D, Principal; Dr. Praveen Kulkarni, Vice Principal (Para Clinical); Sri S.R. Satish Chandra, Administrative Officer; Dr. Vidya C.S., Professor and Head of the Department of Anatomy; Dr Pushpalatha K Dean IQAC JSS AHER , Dr. Deepa Bhat, Professor; and other esteemed faculty members of the department. Dr. Vidya C.S., Professor and Head, delivered the welcome address Dr Shivaprakash S Associate professor highlighted the significance of the AETCOM module – “Cadaver as First Teacher.The Cadaveric Oath was administered by Dr. Deepa Bhat and Dr. Vinutha S.P. Dr. Narayanappa D, Principal, encouraged the students to actively participate in dissection classes, emphasizing their importance not only in the first year of MBBS but also throughout the medical career. Dr. Najma Mobin and Dr Poonam DN introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering. Mr. Jayachandra, who has registered as a body donor,that the purpose of body donation holds a profound moral and humanitarian significance. He emphasized that through this noble act, knowledge, empathy, and healing continue to flourish for the betterment of humanity. The dignitaries felicitated the Chief Guest in appreciation of his noble contribution. Dr. Praveen Kulkarni, Vice Principal (Para Clinical), addressed the students, sharing his personal experiences from dissection sessions.and stressed on the roles and responsibilities of medical students and encouraged them to utilize the resources to the maximum. Sri S.R. Satish Chandra, Administrative Officer, also inspired the students to utilize the immense knowledge available through dissection and to uphold the values of respect and gratitude towards cadaver donors. The program was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Uma Shivanal and Dr. Shwetha K, who extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their participation and contribution to the success of the event.
