Under the mentorship of Dr. Ramith Ramu, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru, the department hosted Ms. Sheethal K. Shetty, Ms. Aparna, Ms. Shreya Udupa, and Ms. Spoorthi, B.Sc. (Hons.) Biomedical Science students from NUCSER, Nitte University, Mangalore, for a student exchange internship from 11th June to 11th July 2025. During the internship, they successfully completed projects on the antifungal and antibiofilm activities of various probiotic strains (Brevibacillus levickii, Lacticaseibacillus casei, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum, and Leuconostoc mesenteroides) against Candida albicans and Candida tropicalis.
