JSS Medical College celebrates World Health Day 2025 with a Health Camp for Hostel Mess Workers On April 7, 2025, the Department of Community Medicine, JSS Medical College, JSS AHER, Mysuru, organized a health camp for hostel mess workers to mark World Health Day, themed “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures.” Held at the Boys Hostel Mess Block, the event aimed to promote health equity and provide essential medical services including BMI, visual acuity, BP, haemoglobin, blood sugar, and ECG tests. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Praveen Kulkarni, Vice Principal and Sri S R Sathish Chandra, Administrative Officer. Other dignitaries present included Dr. Sunil Kumar D, Dr. Anil S Bilimale, Dr. Vanitha Reddy, and Dr. Priyanka. A total of 157 mess workers were screened. ECG was done for 11 individuals among them 7 were referred to JSS Hospital for further care. The camp was spearheaded by Dr. Sunil Kumar D, Professor and Head of the Department of Community Medicine, alongside Dr. Shwethashree M, Associate Professor, and Dr. Shweta N Kurkuri, Senior Resident, with support from faculty members, postgraduates, and interns.
