NSS conducted a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on March 4, 2025, with the goal of raising awareness of environmental issues and hygiene among JSS Medical College students. 55 students enthusiastically participated in the event, which started at 7:30 AM, and were keen to support this admirable cause.. With T-shirts, caps, and gloves that the college had provided, the eager competitors assembled close to Chamundi Hills' footsteps. The students were separated into groups and effectively cleaned the area under the direction of distinguished faculty members Dr. Manu G, Mr. Venkatesh, Dr. Anshu Kumar, and Dr. Raghavendra Konnur. As everyone collaborated, the excitement was evident, encouraging a sense of environmental responsibility and teamwork. The children cleared the area of plastic waste, wrappers, and other litter throughout the morning by gathering and filling a large number of rubbish bags. The students' comprehension of the value of cleanliness was improved by this practical experience, which also demonstrated the enormous influence that group efforts can have on preserving a sustainable environment. The gathered waste were collected by the Mysuru City Corporation vehicle. Participants shared their experiences and talked about the need for ongoing efforts to promote cleanliness during a brief reflection session that followed the drive. Future generations will be motivated to prioritise cleanliness and environmental care by this NSS program, which is in line with the larger objectives of the Swachh Bharat mission. Both the community and the children were profoundly impacted by the event, which was a huge success. The students were provided with breakfast and other refreshments at Halli Atti hotel, K C Layout, Mysuru and were dropped back to the JSSMC campus by 10.30am.
