Students of V semester, III year B.Sc. Honors, were grouped into 10 groups with 6 members in each group for industrial visit as part of their assignment for the academic paper Fundamentals of Marketing and Consumer Behavior handled by Dr. Azeez Rizwana, Asst. Professor, Division of Psychology & Cognitive Neuroscience, School of Life Sciences, JSS AHER, Mysore. The students gained hands on experience in the four Ps of marketing (Product, Price, Place and Promotion) and understood various aspects of manufacturing products, pricing as per geographical area and socio-economic status, suppliers, distribution channels and promotional strategies including promotion using digital media and the pros and cons of marketing and the impact of the 4Ps on consumer behavior. Each group visited various industries such as Nandini Milk Factory, Karnataka Silk Industry, True Sofa Industries, Jagath Steel Industries, Tasty Trends ice cream factory in Mysore, Coorg Honey Industry in Coorg, Cauvery Bio Refineries, Mandya, Uttam Rubber Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore, Panda food industry in Kerala, etc to name a few. All the students presented their experience as part of Seminar presentation for the academic paper.
