Children`s Day

Thumb

Pedodontist Day was observed on November 15, marking a significant occasion in promoting oral health and hygiene among children. This day was celebrated with a symbolic gesture of planting a sapling, representing a new beginning for the future of pediatric dentistry and the well-being of children. The planting of a sapling symbolizes growth, care, and the nurturing of future generations. It reflects the commitment to improving children’s oral health and fostering a healthier tomorrow

The day coincided with Children's Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the rights and well-being of children. The connection between Pedodontist Day and Children's Day emphasizes the importance of early dental care in a child’s overall development. A healthy smile not only boosts children's confidence but also contributes to their general health, making dental care a vital part of their well-being

The event was held under the guidance of Dr. Dhakshaini MR, Principal, along with Ms. Anushree, Administration Officer, Dr. Nandlal B., Professor, Dr. Raghavendra S, Head of the Department, and the entire team of faculty members and students. The event was virtually graced by the President of ISPPD, Dr. Shashikiran ND, and he conveyed his wishes on behalf of the society

This event aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, which seeks to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all, at all ages. By focusing on children’s oral health, the celebration advocates for the prevention of dental diseases and supports the goal of providing access to quality health care for children worldwide and SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities
