On the occasion of World Mental Health Day,10th Oct 2024, Department of Psychiatry in collaboration with Dept of Anesthesia conducted a program on the theme “It’s time to prioritize mental health in the workplace”. The program was presided by Dr.Madhu C.P., Medical Superintendent, JSS Hospital. Dr. M Kishor, Professor and Hod, Dept of Psychiatry, JSSMC, JSSAHER , Dr.Archana Professor and Hod, Dept of Anesthesia JSSMC, JSSAHER gave the opening remarks , Dr.Akshatha talked about guidelines from Association of Anesthesia on Suicide prevention, Dr.Jatin Kumar on ‘workplace mental health’ , Dr.Pravalya on Balint’s group and it’s relevance in workplace , followed by audience interaction. Dr.Sarika gave the vote of thanks. Many Faculties and Postgraduates from Psychiatry, Anesthesia, Critical care departments attended the program and made it successful.
