As a part of celebration of ‘National Pharmacovigilance Week 2024’, The Regional Training Centre for South Zone – PvPI located at Department of Clinical Pharmacy, JSS Hospital, Mysuru in asociation with National Coordination Centre, Pharmacovigilance Program of India (PvPI), Indian Pharmacopeia Commission, Ghaziabad AND Special Interest Group (SIG) – Quality & Safe Use of Medicine conducted an Sensitisation & Awareness Program on ‘Importance of Reporting of Adverse Drug Reaction’ on 20th September 2024 for the benefit of Community Pharmacists and Consumers / Public of Mysuru city. The program was organised to create an awareness and inculcate ADR reporting culture amongst community pharmacists and consumers /public.The program began with sensitizing and creating awareness to the community pharmacist along with Dr Jaidev Kumar & Dr Rakshith U R, Lecturer, Dept. of Pharmacy Practice, JSS College of Pharmacy, JSS AHER, Mysuru. The information materials, both in Kannada & English, depicting the importance of ADR reporting, ways and means of reporting ADRs were displayed at the community pharmacies and also circulated among the patients who visited the community pharmacies, and also to general public who were there in the vicinity in order to sensitize and create an awareness amongst them on the importance of reporting of adverse drug reaction.
