Date: 16th August 2024 Venue: JSS Medical College In observance of Anti-Ragging Week, a Walkathon was organized with the objective of raising awareness about the detrimental effects of ragging and promoting a campus culture of respect and inclusion. The event was open to MBBS students and Staff. It aimed to unite the community against the harmful practice of ragging The Walkathon was inaugurated by The Vice principal Dr Praveen, who delivered a strong speech on the importance of eradicating ragging from educational institutions. The Vice Chancellor Dr.Surinder Singh Flagged off the event. The walkathon began at 3:15 from the college main entrance. Students carried banners and placards with various anti ragging slogans. The walk continued to the Basketball court and back to the canteen circle where the students gathered for the closing ceremony. The ant ragging walkathon was a significant step towards creating a safer and more inclusive campus environment. It served as a reminder of the collective responsibility we all share to ensure a safe ragging free campus.
