On the occasion of National Nutrition Day 2024 observed from 1st-7th September, with the theme “Nutritious diets for Everyone”, Department of Community Medicine from JSS Medical College conducted Quiz competition at JSS Ramapura High School on 04.09.2024, which turned out to be informative as well as entertaining session for the Participants and audients.

The main objective was to raise awareness about the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits and medical condition that lead to deficiency of essential elements and minerals in our diet. The main highlights of the program were: Engagement, Awareness and Fun Learning. 12 teams (each team with 2 members) participated in the preliminary quiz competition on 3/09/2024. Five teams qualified to the final rounds.

Team 3 secured the first position with 65 points and the team members were Nandakumar and Jeevan from 10th standard. Team 2 secured second position with 50 points and the members were Nischitha M and Haripriya Naveen from 10th standard. There was active participation from the audience too.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Mythily M R, Assistant Professor, Dr. Sunitha Singh, Senior Resident, and Dr. Jesymol Joy, Post graduate of Department of Community Medicine, along with the interns. The “Quiz competition” session for National Nutrition Day was a resounding success. It not only educated participants about the importance of nutrition but also fostered a sense of community and shared learning,
