Cadaveric workshop Clinical Anatomy and implication for Physiotherapy practice

JSS College of Physiotherapy in collaboration with Department of Anatomy conducted cadaveric workshop Clinical Anatomy and implication for Physiotherapy practice on 03.9.24 with Resource person: Dr.Jerin Mathew, Ph.D., Lecturer in Clinical Anatomy & Neuroscientist University of Otago, New Zealand. The workshop began with hands-on practice of dissection techniques on cadavers. The workshop comprised scientific deliberation, an in-depth discussion of the dissection process of the upper and lower limb by Dr.Jerin Mathew for postgraduate students of physiotherapy. Clinical anatomy is essential for physiotherapists as it provides a detailed understanding of the body’s structures and their functions, which is crucial for diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. Dr.Vidya C.S., Professor and Head and Dr.Kalashree Co-ordinator and other faculty graced the inaugural program. This session on clinical anatomy in physiotherapy emphasized the need of understanding anatomical concepts to improve patient care and better outcome. The participants gave positive feedback on hands on dissection of shoulder and knee joints.
