Dr. Vignesh Anand, Scientist B, ICMR, National Institute of Tuberculosis Research, Chennai, delivered a guest lecture on “Drug Discovery for Tuberculosis” on06th August 2024 at 12.00 PM in CADD lab of department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysore 570 015. This guest lecture was organized by department of Pharm Chemistry to the students of M.Pharm and PhD scholars. Dr. Vignesh Anand in his lecture emphasized on the role of pharmacists in drug discovery process with case studies on tuberculosis. The lecture emphasized on the research on various trials done on selecting right drug regimen for the treatment of tuberculosis. The students and scholars were participated in deliberations to understand some hard core aspects of clinical trials and drug regimens for tuberculosis. The students and scholars have expressed that the lecture was very useful for their research projects. This guest lecture was coordinated by Dr. BR PRashantha Kumar, Associate professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
