The Social Entrepreneurship Bootcamp: “From Spark to Flame - Ignite Your Entrepreneurship Journey,' a two-day workshop, was conducted at the School of Public Health on 30-31st of July. This intensive event aimed to inspire and equip participants with the skills necessary to launch social enterprises addressing public health challenges. The workshop featured interactive sessions, including Problem finding and re-analysing the problem and the session on Devising solution to that problem. And Day-1 continued with more sessions on dissemination, documentation and patenting. On Day-2 bootcamp culminated in a pitching session where various capstone group of batch 2022-24 presented their projects namely “Adolescent know thyself better”, “Samarth- inclusive workplace for the differently abled”, “Biostatistics made easy”, “Prana- Breath Easy”, “Swaccha Mysuru” to a panel of judges, receiving feedback and the networking opportunity. Renowned social entrepreneurs and experts like Mr. Shivashankar, Chief Executive, SJCE-STEP, Mr. Pramod S P Head - Incubation Presidency Launch Pad (TBI), Presidency University, Mr. Shrinath Honnavalli, CEO at Trawello, Mr. Rajesh Kumar T, Professor, Dept. of Biochemistry, JSSMC, JSS AHER led the sessions, providing invaluable insights and sharing their entrepreneurial journey. The day ended with knowledge rich panel discussion on 'Innovating for Impact: Leveraging Social Entrepreneurship to Address Global Health Challenges'with Dr Anil S Bilimale as a moderator. The students engaged in developing and refining their social enterpreneur ideas with guidance from experienced mentors.The workshop successfully empowered attendees with the knowledge and confidence to pursue their social entrepreneurship ventures, highlighting the significant role such initiatives can play in addressing public health issues. The event left participants inspired and ready to turn their innovative ideas into impactful social enterprises
