The webinar was organized from Department of Microbiology in collaboration with ESCO Life Sciences Group on 28th May 2024. Biosafety cabinets which are the most important type of containment equipment are frequently misunderstood. So, an awareness program entitled, 'Overview & Safe Use of Laboratory Ventilation Equipment (Biosafety and Laminar Air Flow Cabinets)' was organized for both Undergraduate and postgraduate students to Understand the definition and principle of biosafety cabinets, laminar air flow cabinets, and fume hoods. To distinguish the key differences between, Biological Safety Cabinets, Laminar Flow Cabinets and Fume-Hood in terms of their application suitability and working principles and hence be able to decide the appropriate equipment for their use. To understand how to operate cabinets effectively and safely and to be aware of the proper maintenance procedures. More than 500 participants registered ang got benefitted by this webinar. All participants were provided with E certificate.
