An orientation program for three scholars from University of Pennsylvania was conducted on 11th June, 2024 at School of Public Health. Faculties from School of Public Health, Dr D M Shilpa and Dr Divya K L served as resource persons and gave talk on Sexual harassment and Health tips respectively to help the international scholars from American Institute of Indian Studies to learn and adapt to local conditions in India. American Institute of Indian Studies (AIIS) provides a range of services to U.S. study abroad programs in India such as research fellowship support for scholars, training in Indian languages, knowledge of Indian culture, publications about India, other service learning programs and to advance the understanding of India and to foster exchange and collaboration between scholars in India, the U.S. and other countries in South Asia. The program was also presided by Dr Purushothama Bilimale, Kannada Language Program Coordinator, AIIS, Ms Poornima, University of Mysuru, and Dr Sukanya, who gave an orientation and overview about the program.
