On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day – June 14th, 2024, an event to honor frequent blood donors was organized by the Transfusion Medicine and Blood Centre, Department of Pathology - JSS Hospital, JSS Medical College - JSS AHER, NSS Unit, JSS College, and School of Nursing on June 27th, 2024 at Sri Rajendra Centenary Auditorium. The event, themed '20 years of celebrating giving: thank you blood donors!' was graced by Sri T.S. Srivatsa, MLA of Krishnaraja Constituency, Dr. C.P. Madhu, Medical Superintendent of JSS Medical College, Dr. Manthappa M., Vice Principal (Clinical), Department of General Medicine, Dr. Sheeladevi C.S., Professor and Head, Department of Pathology, and Dr. Pallavi P., Associate Professor, Department of Pathology, JSS Hospital. Three voluntary blood donors, who have donated blood more than 20 times, were identified and honored to inspire others to participate in active blood donation. The awardees were Mr. Devendra Parihariya, Ms. Sonal Jain from Jeevadhara Blood Bank, and Dr. Anil S. Bilimale, Chief MPH Coordinator, School of Public Health, JSS Medical College.
