JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSSAHER) has celebrated a significant milestone of being certified with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018 certifications. The event of ISO Certificate handover ceremony was hosted on 4th June 2024, which culminated in JSS AHER's efforts to achieve excellence in environmental management and energy efficiency, highlighting the commitment to sustainability and international standards. The ceremony began with a welcome address by Dr. Madhusudan N Purohit, Dean (IQAC), who in his opening remarks emphasized the importance of dual ISO certifications. ISO 14001:2015 focuses on minimizing environmental footprints through responsible resource use and pollution prevention, while ISO 50001:2018 guides organizations to optimize energy use and enhance energy efficiency. The event was inaugurated by Dr C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, alongside Mr Sureshnathan, General Manager, IRCLASS, and Dr Surinder Singh, Vice Chancellor, JSS AHER. Mr Sureshnathan, General Manager, representing IRCLASS highlighted the significance of ISO standards in promoting sustainable practices and congratulated JSSAHER on meeting the rigorous criteria for certification. Mr Sureshnathan presented the certificates to the Vice Chancellor and Principals of the constituent institutions. The Vice Chancellor thanked all employees for their dedication and reiterated JSS AHER’s commitment to maintaining high standards of environmental, energy and sustainable management of resources. In his presidential address, Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary,JSS Mahavidyapeetha highlighted the significant efforts and initiations towards environmental conservation and green campus developments. The ISO 14001 and 50001 certificates handover ceremony was a notable success, celebrating JSSAHER's sustainability and energy efficiency achievements. With these certifications, JSS AHER not only enhances its operational efficiency and reduces environmental impact but also sets a powerful example for its students and the wider community. The certifications signify a new chapter in the institution's journey towards a sustainable future.
