The guest lecture was organized by Department of Pharmacognosy, by inviting Dr. R. Murugeswaran, the Deputy Adviser (Medicinal Plants), National Medicinal Plant Board (NMPB), Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, New Delhi at JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru. On the first day, as per the programme schedule, we first took our guest to introduce to our Principal, and Vice-Principal. Later, we took our guest for a tour to JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru to showed all our department and facilities. Later, all the faculties and PhD scholars had an interaction with Dr. R. Murugeswaran. On the second day, it started by welcoming our guest Dr. R. Murugeshwaran and gave a talk on the topic “Medicinal Plants in AYUSH Systems of Medicine - Issues and Challenges” at 10.30 AM in RA seminar hall, JSSCPM. Then, our guest was honored by Dr. J. Suresh, Dr, N. Mruthunjaya and Dr. Gurupaddya. We thank our Principal, Vice-principal and Head of the Department for their guidance and encouragement. We also extend our sincere thanks to the management of JSS AHER for their support.
