On March 20, 2024, the Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology at JSS Dental College and Hospital, A constituent college of JSS Academy Higher Education & Research, Mysuru, celebrated 'Oral Pathology Day-2024'. The event was primarily organized for undergraduate students of BDS at JSS Dental College & Hospital

Dr. Sheela Devi CS, who currently works as a Professor and Head of General Pathology at JSS Medical College Mysuru, was the Guest speaker who delivered a lecture on 'Pathology in General'. The program began with an inaugural function, followed by an informative and interactive session with the resource person. The program concluded with a valedictory function presided over by Dr. Dhakshaini MR, Principal, and Dr. Usha Hegde, Professor and Head, Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology, JSS Dental College and Hospital, Mysuru

The winners of competitive events, such as the BDS I and III-year students who scored the highest marks in the annual examinations for the academic year 2022-23, were awarded. The program had the participation of 200 delegates and featured several competitive events exclusively designed for undergraduate BDS students. The events were: mind mapping and Oral Pathology reels. Awards for Best Mind Mapping and Reels competition were given to BDS I and BDS III-year students. The judges for the competitive events were also acknowledged. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and photo sessions, and feedback was collected about the program's content. All participants highly appreciated the program and expressed their interest in attending similar programs in the future
