JSS Dental College Alumni Association “Sammilana”, organized a Guest lecture by Almamater Dr Vikram Vashisht on International Placement opportunities and Establishment of Dental Practice - A Global Perspective held on 4th March 2024 at JSS Dental College and Hospital, JSSAHER, Mysuru-15

Dr Dhakshaini M R, Principal, welcomed the alumni and appreciated the accolades received by him and wished him the best for his future endeavors. Dr Vikram Vasisht is a BDS alumnus of Batch 1999-2004 presently he is practicing in Australia, TownsVille. The talk was truly engaging and informative. It not only covered areas of professional life but also enriched students with ways to improve their personal lives via habits and small changes. The session started with a quote “Readers are Learners and Learners become Earners”, which was very enlightening. Emphasizing on mindset and encouraged the students to dream as big as possible motivated students immensely. The actual numbers and realities of setting up a dental practice were shown to the students.

It was an inspiring lecture for all the young budding dentists on choosing the right pathway overseas. A clear idea was given regarding the dental practice management skills and scope of dentistry in Australia. He also enlightened on ADC (Australia Dental Council) and its importance to practice in Australia for UG and PG students. The program was attended by 75 students of JSS Dental College and Hospital.
