Structured Hands on Cadaveric FESS

The Department of ENT in collaboration with the Department of Anatomy at JSS Medical College, Mysuru, conducted the 1st Structured Hands-on Cadaveric FESS and Limited Anterior Skull Base workshop on August 3rd and 4th in the Anatomy Dissection Hall, JSS Medical College, Mysuru. The workshop was honored by the presence of world-renowned ENT and skull base surgeon Dr. Renuka Bradoo as the guest faculty, who demonstrated basic FESS and limited anterior skull base surgery on a cadaver on day 1. Dr.H.Basavana Gowdappa Principal, Dr Praveen Kulkarni Vice principal (paraclinical), Dr Bharathi MB, Professor and Head Department of ENT Dr Renuka Bradoo key resource person, Dr Vidya CS Professor and Head, Department of Anatomy and Dr Prakash Professor of ENT, Dr Shivaprakash, Associate professor, department of Anatomy and all the faculty members of ENT department graced the inaugural function.

The workshop included 26 delegates (10 dissectors and 16 observers) coming from various corners of India. Day 2 involved dissection of the cadavers by the delegates under the supervision of our in-house faculty, Dr. Bharathi MB, Dr. BG Prakash, and Dr. Babu AR. The workshop, aimed at training young and budding ENT surgeons in the intricacies of FESS and skull base surgery, started off with Dr. Bradoo quoting Phill Collins, The workshop was coordinated by Dr Amulya T M, Senior resident Department of ENT.
