As a part of 62nd National Pharmacy Week Celebrations, Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Mysuru local branch, Mysuru in association with Department of Pharmacy Practice and NSS Unit of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru organized a Health Screening Camp on 04th November 2023 at JSS Old age home, Aravind Nagar, Mysuru. The aim of the health screening camp was to sensitize the inmates about the importance of regular monitoring of health and safe use of medications. During the camp, interested inmates were screened for blood pressure and blood glucose levels. A total of 45 people were monitored for their blood pressure and blood glucose levels. At the time of monitoring, 21 inmates were found with elevated blood glucose level and 28 inmates were found with elevated levels of blood pressure. Inmates who were identified with the elevated levels of blood pressure and blood glucose levels were advised on non-pharmacological management and suggested to consult physician for further diagnosis & treatment.
