The Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry at JSS Dental College and Hospital celebrated Pedodontist’s Day from 9th-18th November,2023. Various activities and drawing competitions were held among children from different standards across public, residential and tribal schools as well as school for special children by staff and students from the department . The children were educated about oral hygiene practices and toothbrushing techniques along with distribution of oral hygiene kits. The school camps also involved oral hygiene checkup and primary treatment. Post-graduates and interns from all departments took part in essay writing and poster making competitions on campus. Other events included Slogan writing competition for staff and PGs, nursery rhyme composition for interns and final year undergraduates, reel making and snapshot competition for post-graduates. The week long program concluded on 18th November with a felicitation program attended by Dr.Prashanth S N, Prof and Head , Dept. of Pediatrics, JSSMC as chief guest along with with Dr.Dhakshaini M R, Prinicpal, JSSDCH and Dr Nandlal B, Head of the Department, Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, JSSDCH where all the winner were awarded.
