
Devdan Foundation, in collaboration with healthcare professionals, organized a Dental Health Check-up Camp at Lashkar Mohalla. The event aimed to promote oral health awareness among children and emphasized the crucial role of parents, caregivers, and teachers in maintaining good dental health. The camp was led by Dr. Chanchala HP , Lecturer, Dr. Raghavendra S , Reader, Department of Pediatric Dentistry along with hygienist Mahendra and Interns Dr. Glen and Dr. Gunalan Dr. Raghavendra S and Dr. Chanchala HP conducted informative sessions for parents and caregivers on the significance of oral health. They emphasized the role of proper dental care in preventing common issues like cavities and gum diseases. Mr Mahendra, the hygienist, reinforced the importance of oral hygiene practices. Practical tips and demonstrations were provided to encourage effective tooth brushing, flossing, and overall dental care. Interns Dr. Glen and Dr. Gunalan focused on variations in brushing techniques tailored for special children and also demonstrated. This inclusive approach aimed to address the unique needs and challenges faced by children with special requirements. A comprehensive oral health screening was conducted for the attending children. This involved assessing their dental health, identifying potential issues, and providing immediate guidance for any necessary follow-up treatments. Parents and caregivers were informed about the facilities available at JSS Dental Hospital and “Special smiles”, JSS Hospital Agrahara. The significance of regular dental check-ups and the accessibility of quality dental care services were highlighted. In Conclusion the Dental Health Check-up Camp at Devdan Foundation in Lashkar Mohalla was a resounding success in promoting oral health awareness among children and their caregivers. The collaboration of experienced dentists, hygienists, and interns ensured a comprehensive approach to dental care. The event was supported by Warren pharmacueticals.
