NSS Unit JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru organized NSS Tribal Village Camp at tribal Community School “ASHRAMA VASATHI SHALE” Govt. school, Nerale Kuppe, Hunsur Taluk, Mysuru District in association with department of Nutrition & dietetics, Faculty of life science on 6th October 2023 as part of NSS Day Celebration. The NSS Volunteers from JSS Medical College, JSS Dental College, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, JSS School of Life Sciences, and Department of Health System Management were present during the tribal camp. Dr Sushma B.V Assistant Professor department of Nutrition & dietetics, Faculty of life science gave a lecture on Nutritional Values to the tribal School children’s as well as tribe. Dr Sushma B.V focused the tribal school children’s and tribes on education of the importance on health micronutrients, to promote locally available food resources & create awareness on ethnic/ traditional foods rich in micronutrients. Overall, the awareness program was very helpful for the tribal school children’s and tribes.
