Cadaveric oath ceremony for the new batch of MBBS Students 2023-24 - 19-09-2023

Department of Anatomy, JSS Medical College, Mysore conducted a cadaveric oath taking ceremony for the new batch of MBBS Students 2023-24 batch on 19th September 2023. Program started with the Pranams to the lotus feet of His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji and seeking the blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.

Batch 1 (1-125)

Dr.Vidya C.S. welcomed the dignitaries, Dr.Suma M.N., Vice Principal, (Pre clinical) Dean faculty of Biomedical Sciences, Mr. Satish Chandra Administrative officer, and chief guest Mrs Rama Bai retired school teacher and voluntary body donor, Anatomy faculty and Students. Dr.Poonam D.N., Assistant Professor of Anatomy, briefed about the significance of AETCOM module 1.5 Cadaver as our first teacher. Dr.Suma M.N. shared her thoughts on importance of dissection and advised the students to develop interest in research, the variations observed during dissection. Mr. Satish Chandra, Administrative Officer, JSS MC advised the students to make use of cadavers efficiently. Mrs. Rama bai congratulated the newly admitted students and she enlightened about the importance of Body donation, and she was felicitated by dignitaries. Dr. Pushpalatha K Professor of Anatomy administered the cadaveric oath to the students whereby the students pledged to respect the cadavers, pay gratitude to family and serve the society through high quality health care.

Batch 2(126-250)

Dr.Praveen Kulkarni Vice Principal (Para clinical). Mr. Satish Chandra Administrative officer, and Mrs Rama Bai retired school teacher and voluntary body donor graced the event. Dr. Poonam D.N. briefed about the significance of AETCOM module 1.5 Cadaver as our first teacher. Dr.Praveen Kulkarni shared his thoughts on importance of cadaveric dissection, and he acknowledged the donors for the noble cause. Mr. Satish Chandra, Administrative officer, JSS MC advised the students to make use of Anatomy faculty and the donated cadavers. Mrs Rama bai expressed her willingness of Body donation and she was honoured by dignitaries. Dr. Shivaprakash S, Associate Professor, administered the cadaveric oath to the students whereby the students.
