As a part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru in association with NSS organized an Awareness Program on Sparrow Conservation, on 22nd August 2023. Ms. Kokila Ramesh Jain was invited as a speaker for the occasion. She is a Sparrow Conservationist, Green Activist, Nature Enthusiast, and Animal Welfarist. She also conducted surveys and interacted with students on the status of the birds. Ms. Kokila motivated the students to identify the areas where sparrows can still be found and set up nests there. She distributed self-designed sparrow houses to staff and students. Many staff and students were inspired by the work of Ms. Jain and came forward to be a part of this noble work. During this occasion Dr. T. M. Pramod Kumar Principal, Dr. G.V. Pujar Vice Principal, Ms. Divya Shree Assistant Administrative Officer, Dr U R Rakshith NSS Programme Officer, Mr. I A Chethan, SDG Co-Ordinator and other teaching and non-teaching staff and more than 500 Students were present.
