Hands -on Training on Isolation and Storage of Extracellular Vesicles organized by Department of Pharmacology, Venue :Seminar Hall, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru & Dept. Biochemistry, JSS Medical College, Mysuru Resource Persons: 1. Gurudutt N. Pendyala, Ph.D, Assoc Prof, Robert Lieberman Endowed Professor of Anesthesiology, Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, US. 2. Sowmya Yelamanchili, PhD, Assoc Prof, Research Faculty, Department of Anesthesiology, Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, US. Dr. Mahalakshmi A. M, Assistant Dean (BQAS), and Asst Prof, Dept of Pharmacology, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, gave a brief introduction to the resource persons. The resource persons were welcomed by Dr. T.M. Pramod Kumar, Dean - Faculty of Pharmacy and Principal, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, Dr. Gurubasavaraj B Pujar, Vice Principal, and Dr. Saravana Babu C (Coordinator), Prof and Dr Dithu T, Lecture, Department of Pharmacology, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru. Dr. Gurudutt N. Pendyala, Ph.D. delivered a talk on the topic 'Up with Hope, Down with Dope: DRUGS - An equal opportunity destroyer,' during which he offered his expertise and experience. Following the break for tea, Dr. Sowmya Yelamanchili, PhD, delivered a talk on the title 'The role of extracellular vesicles in chronic methamphetamine use disorder,' was an unforgettable experience for attendees. The morning session came to end with an expression of gratitude to the resource people, and everyone left for lunch. The 'Hands-on Training on Isolation and Storage of Extracellular Vesicles” afternoon session began at 2 pm, and it was held in the Department of Biochemistry at JSS Medical College in Mysuru. A thorough presentation on the separation and preservation of extracellular vesicles was given in the biochemistry research lab. Each participant saw the technique one-by-one, and it was a fascinating session that was a genuine eye-opener to the topic.
