The Department of ENT and Head and Neck, in collaboration with the Department of Anatomy at JSS Medical College and JSS AHER, Mysuru, conducted the 1st Structured Hands-on Cadaveric FESS and Limited Anterior Skull Base workshop on August 3rd and 4th in the Anatomy Dissection Hall, JSS Medical College, Mysuru. The workshop was honored by the presence of world-renowned ENT and skull base surgeon Dr. Renuka Bradoo as the guest faculty, who demonstrated basic FESS and limited anterior skull base surgery on a cadaver on day 1. The workshop was inaugrated by our principal Dr Basavanna Gowdappa in the presence of our guest faculty, Dr Renuka Bradoo, Head of the Department, Anatomy, Dr Vidhya C S ,Dr Shivprakash,Associate professor, department of Anatomy and all the faculty members of ENT department The workshop included 14 delegates (10 dissectors and 16 observers) coming from various corners of India. Day 2 involved dissection of the cadavers by the delegates under the supervision of our in-house faculty, Dr. Bharathi MB, Dr. BG Prakash, and Dr. Babu AR. The workshop, which aimed at training young and budding ENT surgeons in the intricacies of FESS and skull base surgery, started off with Dr. Bradoo quoting Phill Collins, 'In learning we teach, and in teaching we learn,' and concluded successfully executing the same and achieving what it intended to.
