The above workshop was organized by Department of Pharmacology, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, in association with Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Local Branch, Ooty. during July 28 & 29, 2023. The objective of this programme is to train research scholars on various techniques involved in laboratory animal research. The event was co-ordinated by Dr. Praveen T.K., (Organizing Secretary), Dr. Sarvanan J. (Convenor), and teaching & non-teaching faculty of the department.

Twenty-four external participants from various parts of Kerala and Karnataka and 15 internal participants (Total-39) have attended this workshop. The participants underwent hands on training about Computer Aided-Drug design, laboratory animal handling, blood collection techniques, surgical techniques, anaesthesia & euthanasia techniques, isolated tissue experiments. In addition, lectures were organized on the topics “History of animal testing” and “Biostatistics”. All the participants expressed their satisfaction and appreciated the efforts of the resource persons.
