Three days workshop was organized for the School of life sciences, Ooty in the Department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from 15.12.2022 to 17.12.2022. 1 faculty and 25 students participated in this workshop which gave them hands-on training on DNA isolation from bacterial and Plant sources, Gel electrophoresis of isolated DNA, PCR amplification of purified fragments, and Western Blotting demonstration. Students studying PG and UG levels in Biotechnology were given live demonstrations of a variety of molecular biology techniques. During the workshop, students and teachers shared their experiences. The workshop was greatly appreciated by the students and faculties from the SLS campus. On the first day, all the equipment's uses and applications were explained; on the second day the theoretical aspects of the experiments were explained, third day the molecular techniques and troubleshooting errors were demonstrated. During the workshop, all the faculties from both SLS and the department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology shared their experiences regarding the success of the program.
