Dr. Nirmal Robinson, from University of South Australia visited JSS College of Pharmacy on 05.01.2023. Dr. Nirmal is one of the Adjunct Faculty of JSS COP, Ooty associated with the Department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.

Department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology organized a departmental meeting, departmental level seminar, and group discussion with Dr.Nirmal Robinson. Postgraduate and Ph.D. Scholars of the department attended this interaction session. Dr. Nirmal also had one departmental-level faculty meeting on the same day. The research discussions were well-connected with the audience (departmental students). Dr. Nirmal shared his ideas about cancer research, molecular & cellular biology, Immunology & cell culture. He gave practical examples related to biotechnology research problems and followed by a Q&A session for the students. His presentation was much interactive, and students participated and responded very well throughout his presentation. Overall, this visit was much useful for the faculty members, researchers, and students in the department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. Further, Dr. Nirmal had a detailed meeting with department faculty members. Dr. Nirmal confirmed that he will support the faculty members on possible research collaborations, research advisors, and online lectures for Immunology related topics to the M.Pharm students. Further Dr. Nirmal is also happy to help the Ph.D. scholars withthe international opportunity to work in his lab. He also visited Pharmacy Practice department and met Pharm.D students then He had given a lecture to Pharm D students on the topic Bedside to bench: Circumventing cancer drug resistance.
