Guest Lecture on “Surgical Anatomy of Pelvi - Acetabular fractures and hip joint.'

Department of Anatomy, JSS Medical College had organised invited guest lecture for 1st MBBS students on the topic “Surgical anatomy of Pelvi- acetabular fractures and hip joint” on 28 February 2023 by Dr. Aakash Mugalur [MBBS, MS Orthopedics (Mumbai), DNB Orthopedics, MRCS(UK), MNAMS, Fellow in Joint Replacement Surgery and Arthroscopy, Fellow in Pelvi- acetabular surgery (IOA-AOPAS, AOPAS)], consultant orthopaedic surgeon, Bhanavi Hospital, Mysuru.

Dr Vidya C S, Professor and Head, department of Anatomy, thanked the guest speaker for the informative lecture. Dr. Praveen Kulkarni, Paraclinical Vice principal, Professor of Community Medicine presented token of appreciation to the guest speaker Dr. Aakash Mugalur. Staff members of Anatomy department were present during the presentation.

The session threw light on the importance of surgical anatomy of pelvis and hip joint. The lecture was well appreciated by the students as evident by the reflections written by the students.
