Cadaveric oath ceremony for the new batch of MBBS Students 2022-23 - 13-12-2022

The Department of Anatomy, JSS Medical college, Mysore conducted a cadaveric oath ceremony for the new batch of MBBS Students 2022-23 on 13th December 2022. Program was started with the Pranams to the lotus feet of His Holiness Jagadaguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji and seeking the blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.

Batch 1

Dr.Vidya CS welcomed the Chief guest for the program Dr. CM Nanjaiah, Senior Professor of Anatomy, Dr. Dr.Suma MN, Vice Principal, ( Pre clinical) Dean faculty of Biomedical Sciences, JSSMC , Mr. Satish Chandra Administrative officer, Dr.Arun M, Professor of Forensic medicine , Convenor MEU, Faculty of Anatomy and Student. Dr.Pushpalatha K, Professor of Anatomy, briefed about the significance of AETCOM module 1.5 Cadaver as my first teacher. Dr.Suma MN shared her thoughts on the program. Chief guest for the program Dr.CM Nanjaiah, Senior professor enlightened about the importance of Body donation and was felicitated . Mr.Satish Chandra, Administrative officer, JSS MC and Dr.Arun M, Professor of Forensic Medicine Advised the students. Dr.Deepa Bhat, Associate Professor, administered the cadaveric oath to the students whereby the students pledged to respect the cadavers, pay gratitude to family and serve the society through high quality health care. Dr.Pushpa NB, Assistant Professor coordinated the program.

Batch 2

Basavanagowdappa, Principal, Dr.Suma MN, Vice Principal, ( Pre clinical) Dean faculty of Biomedical Sciences , JSSMC , Mr. Satish Chandra Administrative officer. Dr.Pushpa NB briefed about the significance of AETCOM module 1.5 Cadaver as my first teacher. Dr.Suma MN, Vice Principal shared her thoughts on the program. Chief guest for the program Mr. CG Nagaraj shared his thought about body donation and was faliciatated. Dr.H. Basavanagowdappa, Principal explained the importance of cadaver/ patient as teacher of medical students. Dr.Najma Mobin, Associate Professor, administered the cadaveric oath to the students whereby the students pledged to respect the cadavers, pay gratitude to family and serve the society through high quality health care. Dr.Uma Shivanal, Senior Resident, co ordinated the program.

This solemn ceremony impressed upon the students, the selfless act of body donation by donors and the importance of cadavers in learning Anatomy.
