The Department of Pharmacology, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, organised ‘DBT Sponsored Popular Lecture Series in Biotechnology on “Applications of proteomics in the biomedical drug discovery” on 04th November 2022. This lecture series was conducted on virtual mode with 347 participants across the globe. Dr Praveen TK served as the convener of the program and Dr. Divakar S, Lecturer, Dept. of Pharmacology coordinated the programme. The first talk on “Multiomics and dimensionality reduction in drug discovery” of this popular lecture series was delivered by Dr. Jaikanth C, Associate Professor, SRMC, Porur, Chennai. The second talk on “From sequence to structure an in-silico drug discovery approach” was delivered by Dr. Ram K, Assistant Professor, Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore. The final talk on “Animal Testing in Biomedical Research: History and alternatives” was delivered by Dr. Praveen TK, Professor and Head, Dept. Of Pharmacology, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty. This lecture series was well received by all the participants from different parts of the country.
