This was organized for Continuing professional development (CPD) for faculty and students to meet professional standards for self-appraisal and self-learning. Participation in such educational activities will result in professional development and academic success. The participants included faculty and students from all constituent colleges of the JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research.
Dr. Dhepe highlighted the importance of ergonomic principles and work-related musculoskeletal disorders which would affect the productivity of the faculties and students.
The session covered tips and precautionary measures to improve the quality of lifestyle and to increase professional and academic excellence. She also addressed office ergonomics, computer and mobile ergonomics, and work-from-home ergonomic principles and the science involved behind them.
The session was lively and interactive with 120 delegates learning various aspects of how to keep themselves healthy. The training session also included chair-side exercises during the day. The training session helped our delegates to understand the importance of the right posture and set up their workstations. The various exercise tips would help in mitigating the faulty ergonomic risks and thus providing a healthier and more comfortable workplace.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Meenakshi S Co Ordinator, CCDE (COMBINED COGNITIVE DENTAL ERGONOMICS) program, Dept of Prosthodontics from JSS Dental College and Hospital, JSSAHER.
