Team of innovator from JSSAHER bagged 3 awards at MEDIC 2022 (Medical Device innovation camp), organised by Biomedical Engineering and Technology Innovation Centre (BETIC), IIT Bombay (IITB), Mumbai.

It was a 4 weeks long event aimed at bringing together interdisciplinary teams from across the nation to explore medical device innovation from idea to product from 1st September to 1st October 2022.

In the grand finale on 1st Oct 2022, teams from JSSAHER pitched their ideas/projects to eminent jury panels at IIT Bombay, Mumbai.

Dr.Riyaz Ali Osmani, Assistant Professor from JSS College of Pharmacy Mysuru, JSSAHER, Mysuru won 'Award for novel Point-of-Care Device’’ for their device ‘’Forget Med not’’ - device for auto medicine dispensing.

Dr.Shwethashree.M, Assistant Professor, JSS Medical College won ‘’Award of Social Innovation Device’’ for there device ‘’Raksha Kavach’’ - device for tribal malaria control. 'Sal-Cal Dent' the salivometric device that helps patients with cancer therapy and lifestyle diseases developed by Dr. Prashanth Sadashivamurthy and team won 'Award for most Ergonomic Device’’

The winners are displaying their innovations in the MEDEX 2022 (Medical Device Exhibition) to Investors, Innovators and Industry partners of IITB and will have an opportunity for fellowships and support for working and translating their ideas for the benefit of society.
