The Science Awareness Program as a part of National science week 2022 was held at the Government Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Mysuru. The dignitaries present at the inaugural program were Shri. Madhusoodanan J, Principal, JNV Mysuru, Shri. Samuel Navaneet Raj, Vice Principal, Shri. V K Manohar Kumar, Senior Teacher of JNV Mysuru, along with Dr. Prashant Vishwanath, Director (Research), JSS AHER, Dr Rajesh Kumar T, Associate Professor, JSS AHER, Dr. Shwethashree M, Assistant Professor, JSS AHER. More than 236 students belonging to 10th to 12th standard participated in the event. The day saw an overwhelming discussion and inquisitiveness from JNV students who were enthusiastic to further understand the developments and inventions in the field of science and its day-to-day applications. The “Science on Wheels” was a major attraction with students visiting the bus to see the smallest microscope in the world along with display of live cell imaging and advanced molecular techniques like rt-PCR which is used for the detection of COVID-19 infection.
