Department of Pharmacology, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, organized a webinar on “REGULATORY AFFAIRS AS CARRIER PATH” on July 21, 2020, at 5PM., on a Zoom platform. The resource person was Mr. Srinivas Gurram, Vice-president & Head of Regulatory Affairs, & Quality assurance, Zydus Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. North America. Mr. Srinivas was alumni of JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty. He started with introduction on role of regulatory affairs in Pharmaceutical industry. Responsibility of regulatory affairs personnel in bringing a new drug to the market. Around 800 participants have registered for this webinar. The webinar was started with introduction by Dr. P R Anand VijayaKumar, speaker was introduced by Dr. R Vadivelan, Professor, department of Pharmacology. All the faculty of Pharmacology department were present during the webinar. Among 820 participants 600 were students of B pharm, M Pharm, Pharm D, Pharm D intern and Research scholars and 180 were faculty and remaining 45 were from pharmaceutical industry of various category, International pharmacist and Academic directors. The registered participants were not only from various colleges and industry all around India, but also from other country like USA, UAE etc., The webinar was well-received by all the participants present in the webinar. After the webinar, there was a Question answer discussion for about 30 minutes. Certificates were provided to all the registered participants.
