The Department of Pharmacology at JSS College of Pharmacy in Ooty, organised ‘DBT Sponsored Popular Lecture Series in Biotechnology on “Exploring & Understanding the COVID-19 Pandemic” on 13th December 2021. This lecture series was conducted on Virtual mode with over 350 participants across the globe. Dr Praveen T K served as the convener of the program and Mr. Saravanan J, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Pharmacology coordinated the programme. The first talk on “Adverse effects of COVID-19 Vaccination” of this popular lecture series was delivered by Dr. Amitabh Acharya, CSIR, Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. The second talk on “Exploring & Understanding the COVID-19 Pandemic” was delivered by Dr. Praveen T K, Professor & Head, Department of Pharmacology, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty. The final talk on “Myths & Reality of COVID-19 Vaccination” was delivered by Dr. Ramakrishna Sistla, Senior-Scientist, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad. This lecture series was well received by all the participants from different parts of the country.
