With the blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, the Department of Public Health Dentistry, JSS Dental College & Hospital, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru organized “SANGAMA” concluding ceremony of WORLD ORAL HEALTH DAY 2022 and WORLD HEALTH DAY 2022 on 30th April 2022 at Smart class, JSSDCH.

The Concluding ceremony “SANGAMA” was graced by Guest of Honour Dr. CVK Reddy, Former Vice Principal and Professor & Head Department of Public Health Dentistry and Chief Guest Dr. R Sudeendra Bhat, Controller of Examinations, JSS AHER, with Dr. Ravindra S, Principal, JSSDCH and Dr. Chandrashekar B.R, Vice principal, Professor & Head Department of Public Health Dentistry.

On the day a Webinar on this year’s theme of World health day 2022 “Our planet our earth” wasorganized. Guest speaker Dr. Manjunath B.C, Prof and Head, Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Rohtak, highlighted the need to protect our planet from climatic crisis, inadequate sanitation, tobacco epidemic and so on.

Dr. Chandrashekar B.R gave the welcome address and Dr. Sushma.R, Lecturer, presented the

report of all the activities organised by the department in view of health days of international significance. The report also highlighted on Oralhealth camps in various parts of Mysore District conducted in the month of March and April by the department faculty, PG ‘s & interns which comprised of a total 15 Camps, benefiting 1136 people across urban and rural areas of Mysore district.

Guest of Honour Dr. CVK Reddy, addressed the gathering regarding significance of the health days and his experience about health day activities. Chief Guest Dr. R Sudeendra Bhat addressed the students on, importance of world health and oral health day and appreciated the efforts taken by the faculty of department in organizing various activities for students in this event. Prize Winners of the various competitions were awarded by the dignitaries’ present. Department promo video was screened on this occasion. Dr. Thippeswamy.H.M, Reader, proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Sunitha.S, Reader, and Dr. Maurya. M, lecturer, coordinated the program along with all the post graduate students of the department.
