With the Divine Blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji Jagadguru Sri Veerasimhasana Mahasamsthana Math, Sutturu Srikshetra. The program was organized from the Board room of JSS Dental college & Hospital on 19/02/2021 from 10 am to 1 pm. The program was conducted as webinar on Zoom plat form. The webinar had around 545 registered delegates from across the world. Dr. Shivananda, Member secretary JSSDCH IEC delivered the welcome address. Dr. Ravindra S, Principal, JSS Dental College & Hospital, delivered the Inaugural Address. He emphasized the uniqueness of JSS Dental College & Hospital as one among the very few dental colleges in India having website and advanced digitalized Institutional Ethics Committee.

Dr. M. S. Vishveshwara, Chairman, JSSDCH IEC, Head, Division of Radiation Oncology, Medical Superintendent, Bharath Hospital & Institute of Oncology, Mysore delivered the Keynote Address. He explained the requirement of quality research in heath care Institutions in India. The Chief Guest for our program was Dr. P A. Kushalappa, Director (Academics) JSS AHER. He applauded the contribution of faculty and students of JSS Dental College & Hospital in the field of research, PhD graduates and patent application. He encouraged the development of website and digitalization of JSSDCH IEC.

Dr. Shivananda, Member secretary JSSDCH IEC, briefly explained the features of newly developed website and Digitalized JSSDCH IEC. He described the details of the JSSDCH IEC website and how it is helpful for the review process of the JSSDCH IEC. He also acknowledged the concerned people involved in the development and creation of the website and online portal of JSSDCH IEC.

Dr. Deepa B V, senior lecturer Dept of OMFS, introduced our first guest Dr. Uma Kulkarni to the delegates. Dr. Uma Kulkarni, Professor, Ophthalmology, Faculty, Centre for Ethics, Member-Secretary Yenepoya Ethics Committee, Yenepoya deemed to be University, Mangalore. She delivered a Webinar on the topic “Shake Hands with Research.” The talk was very informative and ingesting. She explained in detail how to conduct a good quality research. The talk was appreciated a lot, by the delegates in their feedback.

Dr. Vidya G D, Reader Dept of Oral Pathology, Introduced the second speaker Dr. Ravi Vaswani. Dr. Manjunatha B, Registrar, JSS AHER, also welcomed the guest speaker and thanked the JSSDC&H for organizing this webinar. Dr. Ravi Vaswani, Professor, Internal Medicine, Faculty, Centre for Ethics, Joint-Secretary Yenepoya Ethics Committee, Yenepoya deemed to be University, Mangalore. He delivered the webinar on the topic “Grow in Publication.” He gave a lot of extremely useful information and tips for researchers to convert their research into publication in a good quality journal. This talk was also appreciated a lot, by the delegates in their feedback. The speakers answered all the questions put forward by the delegates of the webinar. Many key points related to research and publication were discussed in detail by the speakers. Dr. Chandrashekar B R, Vice-Principal, JSS Dental College & Hospital, delivered the vote of thanks and thanked the resource persons and the organizers of the webinar. He also thanked all the registered delegates and the concerned dignitaries for conducting this program.
