The Karnataka Chapter of Indian Association of pathologists and Microbiologists organized the 47th annual conference, the first virtual KAPCON ever, from October 2nd to 4th, 2020. Dr. Nithin Paul E, our final year postgraduate was selected as one of the six resident ambassadors for reaching out the updates of the conference among the pathology community. Dr. Nithin Paul E was also in the live tweet team, for aiding in increasing the impact of the conference. Fourteen of our postgraduates participated in the various competitions.

Out of which eleven of them participated in the oral paper presentation. Dr. Nithin Paul E secured second position in the best paper category. Dr. Tejal Bende, Dr. Kotla Bhavyashree, Dr. Sruti Tadachina and Dr. Indrakshi Basak were the toppers in their respective sections. Three Postgraduates participated in the Poster presentation, out of which the poster presented by Dr. Peri Keerthi was the crowd favorite, sweeping in a total of 1044 votes, with a margin of over 400 votes from the next highest candidate. Dr. Indrakshi Basak also participated in the Pathkalakar contest, where she received accolades for her melodious voice.

We are extremely proud of our students and our colleagues for guiding the students, especially Dr. Suchitha S and Dr. Vani K for guiding the award-winning papers.
