The one-day orientation workshop on Foldscope assembly and usage were organized on 28-11-2019 for the postgraduate students of the Department of Community Medicine, JSS Medical College, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru sponsored by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. In this workshop, the students got an opportunity to learn about applications and the concept of Foldscope. The Foldscope is the ultra-affordable, paper microscope designed to be extremely portable, durable, and to give optical quality similar to conventional research microscopes (magnification of 140X and 2-micron resolution). Dr Sunil Kumar D, Associate Professor conducted the workshop and gave orientation about the Foldscope. The staffs of the dept of community medicine were present and coordinated the whole workshop.
