Report of the Flood Relief Activities to Karnataka and Kerala With the concern of the devastating floods and landslides occurring in Karnataka and Kerala, the students with the help of the staff of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru opened a flood relief desk on 10th August in front of the Rajendra Auditorium. Donations in the form of money, utilities and clothes were collected. The items collected were segregated and sent to relief camps at Coorg in cooperation of St Gregorios Orthodox Church , Mysuru On the following days, 10th to 12th August, a relief desk was opened near the Food Court of JSSCP, Mysuru for the collection of different basic commodities and other donations. Clothes (dress materials, bed sheets & blankets), food items (such as rice, pulses, biscuits, rusk, tea/coffee powders), toiletries (tooth paste & brush, soap, shampoo) sanitary napkins, diapers (both baby and adult), cleaning kits etc were collected. Basic medicines were also collected on this day. Later the evening the collected items were transported to relief camps in Wayanad district , Kerala. A total of INR 64,450/- (sixty four thousand, four hundred and fifty rupees) were collected for the relief fund during 10th to 12th August 2018. Expenses incurred for procuring various items for the relief camps was INR 44,450/- (Forty four thousand four hundred and fifty rupees) and necessary medicines were INR 20,000/- (twenty thousand rupees).
