Scientific seminar on “Advanced Technology in Haematology Automation” held on 17th Jan.2019 in Lecture Hall 1 organised by department of Pathology was a successful event. The inauguration was graced by Dr Suresh Babu, Deputy Director of JSS Hospital and Dr G.V Manjunath vice Principal (Clinical). Our senior technician Mr Jayashankarappa who retired from service last year was felicitated by the dignitaries. The inauguration was followed by series of 3 sessions updating on ABC of CBC, Quality management, Novel Parameters and flaggings generated by the analyser. Mr Biju Radha Krishnan and Mr Arun Kumar PJ educated the audience regarding the evolution of technology in Haematology, Quality management protocols which were of great help to us as we are going in for NABL accreditation. We were updated about the numerous advantages of the automation system, the optimal uses and trouble shooting. Overall it was a highly educative seminar attended by all the postgraduate students, Technical staff members and consultants of JSS Hospital, Staff and post graduate students of MMCRI and Mandya medical College
