Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysore, has successfully conducted the Hands on training on Discovery studio software (17th & 18th February, 2020). This training program was conducted by BIOVIA from the company which discovery studio was purchased sponsored by ICMR, New Delhi. The training was given by Ms. Divya, Executive trainee from BIOVIA, Bengaluru. All faculties from Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Research scholars from our department had participated as fellows in this training program. The training program had drug design modules such as Homology modeling, Structure based drug design, Ligand based drug design, Pharmacophore modeling and mapping etc. Dr.G.V. Pujar, Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry was the organizer who is the Principal Investigator for the project fund received from the ICMR, New Delhi. Dr. B.R. Prashantha Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry was the program coordinator.
