On February 4th, 2025, our MPH students who have chosen the Social Entrepreneurship elective visited SJCE-STEP (Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park) to gain firsthand exposure to the world of entrepreneurship and innovation. During the visit, students learned about STEP’s initiatives in supporting young entrepreneurs, including funding, seed capital, incubation programs, and mentorship. Engaging discussions with startup founders provided valuable insights into their challenges, success stories, and the journey of transforming ideas into impactful businesses. This visit emphasized the crucial role of entrepreneurship in public health, fostering innovation in healthcare solutions, and encouraging students to think beyond conventional approaches.
