A two-day Social Entrepreneurship Workshop for MPH students was held on November 28-29, 2024, to inspire entrepreneurial ideas among them. The day one featured insightful sessions by faculty from the School of Public Health. On Day two, expert speakers included Dr. Prashanth Sadashivamurthy, Deputy Dean (Academics), JSS AHER on Social Entrepreneurship in Public Health, Mr. Pramod S.P, Head – Incubation Presidency Launch Pad (TBI), Presidency University, Bengaluru on building a social enterprise, Mr. Chandrakanth, Head of Programs, SJCE-STEP on Funding Strategies. The entrepreneurs Mr. Anudeep S, Co-founder of Dhriti Bio Solutions, Director of Phitons, Bioengineering PVT Limited, and Scientific Advisor of Peelon Inc, and Ms. Sreelakshmi Desiraju, Co-founder of Triphase Pharmaceuticals, Co-founder and CEO of AA Probics, shared their successful journeys to the audience. The event concluded with a vibrant panel discussion, 'Unleashing the Social Potential,' by Dr. Kumar G S, Head of the Health sector, SVYM, Dr. Neelesh Kapoor, Founder and Head of Medical Practice, Eka Care, Dr. Anoop Radhakrishnan, Co-founder, Director, Chief Marketing Officer, AddressHealth and moderated by Dr. Anil S. Bilimale, Chief MPH Co-ordinator.
